Teaching Plans

Lesson planning in Satit Demonstration School is really easy to do. The teaching plan must be prepared two weeks before the class. The plan is already good for a week. It is must be check by our mentors before passing it to the Head Teacher. The following are my Teaching Plans within 3 weeks.

Anchored with the lesson plan is the activity for the students. The students in Thailand is way too different in Philippines. The curriculum is different too. One topic is to be discussed for the whole week. For example, I need to teach addition within 100 for the whole week. Since the students are really smart, they can easily cope up with the lesson. It is a challenge for me as a Teacher to make different activities for my students.

I tried and applied the following approach in teaching math to my students:

• I prepared some brain break dance before the class to brighten-up my students and serve as a cooler before the discussion.
• Drills that activates their mind alertness were also presented before beginning the discussion.
• During discussion, I frequently ask my students to check if they are following with the discussion.
• I’m also preparing group works to have a collaborative discussion. Such puzzles, tracing a map, and matching type activity.
• Pair-work was also applied.
• It is also important for the students to have an individual activity. I prepared flashcards for them and sometimes we do board work activity.
• To check their progress, I let them answer their workbook and textbooks.
