January 30, 2019 – Time flies really fast. Today is our last Wednesday for teaching in Satit since we will go back t the Philippines the next week. If only there’s a long time for us, we can do more in Satit.

I had a collaborative class with EP 1. We had our activity accompanied with a music. They love music. They even requested a dance before starting our class. They can easily cope up with our lesson and they can master it easily. They are very smart at the young age. It is a challenge for me as teacher to provide a lot and different activities every day. Activities that can catch their attention and interest.

January 29, 2019 – Time flies so fast. Early in the morning we talked about our departure and when are we going to go back to our country and then we realized that it is really fast. Time is really fast.

I started my class at EP 1. They are really lovely and jolly. They are making me crazy with their noise but will surprise me with their warm hugs. This day, they are so naughty. I get to the point that I can’t control them but good thing they behave after a small talk. We discussed and review about our previous lesson and we did a lot of activities after.

In afternoon after class, our buddy called us for a swimming. When we’re already in the pool, we are very surprised. We cannot imagine that a university has it’s own wide pool. A typical university in every student’s imagination. So we went for a swimming and at the same having bonding with our buddies.

January 28, 2019 – Today is Monday and it is the start of the third week for us, a new day for memories, a new day to teach, and a new day to learn.

We came early in school to attend the flag ceremony. As usual, as I am observing the young children while having their flag ceremony, I can feel their patriotism at the young age.

I begin my class at EP 1 with full of excitement. We started our class with a dance then after that we started having our discussion for our new lesson. They maybe naughty and noisy but they are smart. They can easily cope up with the our lesson well. We’ve played some games after that and answered some activities.

January 27, 2019 – Today, I spent my whole day inside my dormitory room. I sleep like I didn’t sleep for the whole week. I even woke up at 11.

After settling myself, I planned for my lesson. I brainstorm what are the possible activities should I give for my EP 1 students this week. Then I think for some random activities. For day 1, I will let them watch an educational video and then and few discussion, the next day we will play a pairing game, then the next they, we will play pass the message, the I will let them solve a map on Thursday and will let the solve a puzzle on Friday. These are just simple activities for my EP 1 students and I will think for more innovative teaching approach for them so that they can be able to capture the learning that I impose to them.

January 26, 2019 – We had a bonding today with our buddies. We went to Shabu Indy.

We rented a songtew going to the town. We went to Robinson and to the souvenir shop and we bought something. After that we’re now off to the Shabu Indy. We’re so excited while looking the menu. We ordered different kinds of foods. There’s mushroom, pork, beef, noodles, and vegetable. We feed ourselves to the fullest.

We went home happy and full. 🙂

January 25, 2019 – Today, my 6th day of teaching, I prepared a lot of activities for my students.

In the beginning of the lesson, I start my class with a dance energizer. I dance together with my grade 1 students. After that, I prepared a game for my students. We played a game I can really see that they are enjoying it. After the activities, I group them into three to have our group activity, it is solving a puzzle. All of them were eager to solve the puzzle. After the activity, the group 3 won followed by the group 2 and the group 1.

After the class, the buddies brought us to a resort to chill. We stayed there overnight and we enjoyed our night. 🙂

January 24, 2019 – Today is my 5th day class with EP 1. As usual the students are cooperating with me but there are really some that are very noisy and keep on talking with their friends. At the afternoon, we are scheduled to meet the President of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University at 3:30 pm. We are excited to meet him, the President of the University that we really admire.

After a few minutes, the President now arrived. We had a productive conversation with him. We told him about how happy are we to be part of SEA Teacher Project and fortunately to be assigned in this University. The President is really humble. He gave us souvenirs and he even lent us a bicycle that we can use inside the university.

It was productive day at all.

January 23, 2019 – Today, I had a collaborative class with my cute students in EP 1. As a teacher it is really warming to see that your students are cooperating with you. I do believe that learning is an integrative aspect. During our Math class, we had our art class at the same time. I let them color their workbook nicely while answering the given problems in addition. My students are very cooperative and they are very smart and creative.

After my class, the rest that I did is to observed with the other class then went home.

January 22, 2019 – Today, I had my third class to EP 1. Just like the other day, I discussed my lesson to them using different activities but the students are really noisy and naughty. Some are crawling, jumping, even running. I gave them an art activity in their workbook to let them do something and so that they still focused on the lesson.

In the afternoon, I worked for my instructional materials for my next class tomorrow, the same lesson but now different kinds of activities.

After the class we went to the market to buy something for our dinner together with our buddies. We cooked tortang talong, a filipino food and we enjoyed it a lot.

January 21, 2019 – I came early in the morning in Satit Demonstration School with my instructional material on my hand and a little hope on my hand. I am excited to teach , my students about our lesson for today especially that I brought something that may catch their interest.

During class, some are listening and some are also having their own business. I felt sad when it came to the point that they are not paying their attention to, but I didn’t lost hope because I believe a teacher has a courage which pushes her to teach with a heart. I made an activity which I can gain their attention again and I also made some reinforcement just to let them have their attention in front.

In the afternoon, together with Teacher Krishia and Teacher Sharmaine, we substituted Teacher Mai’s class. The class is Mini 1/2. They are very cooperative and very friendly. All of them are listening to us even though they are having a hard time understanding us since they don’t know how to speak English. I am so happy to meet this class. I wish someday I can handle a class with them again.

After class, together with the buddies, we all went to the market as usual to buy some ingredients for we are going to cook something foor dinner. We are craving for Filipino food! So we decided to cook tinola. We enjoyed our dinner and it feels like home. After the dinner, it’s the time to make my instructional materials. 🙂
